MY MIND MAP

I made changes to my original cover by placing the characters in different positions.The main character;captain america in the front cover of the first dvd,captain america was in the middle but he did not stand out,but iron man stood out more than captain america. has i made my second dvd i made sure that i place captain america in the centre because he is the main character of the film. The characters iron man and hulk these were the secondary characters so i placed them in the back ground. I changed the flag size and made it much larger than the first one.The flag i put it on the back of the dvd case, and i also changed the flag completely and added a new one.  I added the text name to Captain America and i placed this on top of the from cover of the case. The text is in white as it stands out from the rest of the images and background. The fighter jets i placed them much closer together as on the first dvd template they were far apart. These fighter jets i put them on the front cover of the dvd case and below the fighter jets i added a cloud scene to make it look like they are flying. To finish off i added some features on the dvd case to make it look like a real case. I have a barcode which i have placed on the back cover and i have placed this on the bottom left. i've also got a dvd logo/sign next to the barcode which identifies what the case is. finally i have an age restriction which i have placed on the back of the cover, it is for 18 and over, so no who is younger is suitable to watch it. In the middle of the dvd case is the Title of the film Captain America this is to just identify what the film is called, so when some one picks it up they will be able to know what the film is called especially if the dvd is positioned landscape.

I received feedback from my peers and i used this feedback to improve my DVD cover. The feedback i received was very useful and it allowed me to see what i was doing right and what i was doing wrong. I used the filter and added motion blur on the planes to make them look like they were moving. I used the layer styles for blending and i made my text stand out even more. I used the transparency tool and i text wrapped the main text 'Captain America Returns'. I also added copy right text as a text wrap.

The next feedback i received from one of my peer was also useful and i made constructive changes to my cover. The text i placed on the back of the cover. I then used the image editing tool to add effects on the characters to make them stand out and look even better. Because the captain american title i typed from photoshop so i decided to import special text affects from a different source.

The last feedback i received was from the teacher, he gave me feedback on the DVD cover and the DVD label.
For the DVD cover i had to name all my layers so i went back onto photoshop and renamed all my layers so i knew what the layer contained and the type of editing. I also added the running time of the film as i had completely forgotten to add it. From the feedback i was told to add background information about the film and so this is what i done, i only added a brief description of the film no more than 10 sentences. I added a subtitle to go with my main title,' Captain American Returns' 

For the DVD label i made changes to the american flag as the old one was too small and did not fill the back cover. I edited the flag by adding special affects to it. I used the vector tool as well to improve the images.
